This summer program offered by Johns Hopkins School of Public Health is a collaborative program with the International Committee of Red Cross Societies. The HELP course offers humanitarian workers an intensive course in humanitarian assistance, public health principles and disaster epidemiology.
The course may be taken for academic credit (5 credits for $4,770) or as a non-credit course ($1,900). A limited number of scholarships are available for the 2013 course. Priority will be given to developing country applicants working in the humanitarian assistance field, especially those from areas recently affected by humanitarian emergencies and/or natural disasters. The scholarship application deadline is March 18, 2013.
