Job Description US LUMBER IS CURRENTLY SEEKING DOOR SHOP PRODUCTION ASSOCIATES TO JOIN OUR BRANCH LOCATED IN JOPPA, MD (BALTIMORE AREA) The DOOR SHOP PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE is responsible, for personal safety, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting, preparation, assembly, machining, operation of machinery, and otherwise handling of interior and exterior door components and prebuilt units that come into and move out of the warehouse. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other employees and work productively with minimal supervision. Individuals must follow US Lumber safety policies and procedures at all times. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items: Requires the ability to consistently, and often, lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Responding to public address system announcements, directions from supervisors and managers, warning alarms from other managers, door shop and warehouse associates. Walking and carrying materials–must be able to consistently life and carry a minimum of 50 lbs: Requires moving around the warehouse to assist others or moving materials themselves Identify and read tickets, SKU’s, UPC labels, work orders, and reports: Requires recognizing, identifying and using merchandise and necessary reports. Gripping used to operate machinery or hand tools. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. REQUIRED CREDENTIALS: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year of related production experience. Machine Operation experience (eg saws, routers, CNC, etc.), preferred, but not required. Manufacturing or assembly line experience, preferred, but not required. Carpentry experience (eg cabinets, finish, and trim), preferred, but not required. Must have basic math and analytical skills. Must pass the required pre-employment drug test and background check. Flexible with scheduling. Successfully complete any required training or orientation programs. Ability to follow all U. S. Lumber Group safety policies and procedures. Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
