As a Track Engineer / Project Engineer (Construction), you will be supporting our client, one of the world's largest engineer, procurement, construction (EPC), maintenance and project management companies. The Track Engineer / Project Engineer (Construction) will join the project team supporting the construction of a large transit project. Job Responsibilities The Track Engineer / Project Engineer (Construction) will be responsible for ensuring that the tracks are constructed in accordance with the technical provisions and national and international railway group standards and will also work closely with the QA and Safety Certification managers during the drafting of the relevant safety certification documentation as relevant to the construction, operation and maintenance of the tracks: Providing technical oversight of the project rail design Providing technical oversight of project rail construction Coordinating the preparation and delivery of project deliverables and design documents Managing sub-consultants and contractors on a day-to-day basis Coordinating and managing the efforts of technical disciplines Supporting creation and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, and monitoring activities, progress and milestones against the plans Analyzing and making independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and project objectives and guidelines Organizing and prioritizing a variety of tasks in an effective and timely manner, setting priorities and meeting deadlines Planning and organizing own work assignments as well as carrying out tasks from management staff Specific qualifications for the Track Engineer / Project Engineer (Construction) role include: Accredited four year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study Minimum of fifteen years of work-related experience in the field of transit rail design and construction Extensive experience in rail design, construction, testing & commissioning of LRT (Light Rail Transit) and Metro systems Extensive experience in design, construction and testing & commissioning of different track systems including Ballast, Direct Fastening and Embedded Rail Experience working with MARC, WMATA and Amtrak is preferred Lump sum design-build rail experience is preferred Benefits RealStreet offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes: Health, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Life insurance Long-term disability 401(k) with generous company match Paid time off Build a better construction career with RealStreet and apply now!
