Job Description About the Role: The Operations and Business Development Assistant to support operations of a busy commercial construction company. The person in this position will be responsible for but not limited to: assisting in the development of presentations and meetings; reviewing and responding to vendor, subcontractor and client correspondence; supporting the CEO with business development activities; company representation at industry events; client and proposal support; CEO calendar management; other duties as assigned. In this role it is critical that the qualified applicant have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Qualifications: 5+ years of operations support experience 2+ years business development, public relations or marketing experience Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook High level of integrity, confidentiality and strong work ethic Ability to work in an evironment with minimal processes with a high level of efficiency Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and be able to "think on your feet" with a "can do" attitude Ability to support company public relation efforts through attending industry events Experience in a professional services or a commercial construction environment preferred Experience in supporting business development efforts such as: responses to RFP's, bid generation, etc Ability and desire to work core office hours of 8-5 with flexiblity for overtime as needed Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Management or similar required Company Description Founded in 1993 with corporate offices in Columbia, Maryland, Costello Construction is a mid-size award winning commercial construction contractor primarily performing projects in Maryland, Virginia and DC.
