The Field Engineer will provide local support in addition to traveling overseas to provide support for various installation and maintenance projects.

Responsibilities
● Install, operate, and maintain various Telecommunication Systems as assigned
● Act as a technical representative for field projects, which include VSAT, Microwave, and other WAN topologies
● Successfully complete VSAT installations worldwide
● Resolve customer and system outages through effective troubleshooting
● Utilize interpersonal skills to properly and effectively interact with customers
● Administer Local Area Network/ Wide Area Network during installation process
● Interpret field level documentation, provide as-built/redline modifications to project drawings

Qualifications
● Active Top Secret Security clearance and the ability to maintain this level clearance
● 3-5 years of commercial experience is preferred in addition to military training or experience
● Military and/or Commercial SATCOM experience
● Ability to work from standard engineering drawings, documents, and Link Budgets with minimal supervision
● Knowledge of installation practices for 1.8M thru 5M antenna systems and associated electronics
● Knowledge of SCPC, CDMA, and TDMA systems from Hub or Remote perspective
● Knowledge of iDirect and Vipersat systems (both hub and remote)
● Knowledge of Microsoft Office
● Knowledge of Networking, VOIP, Bluecoat, and Cisco is a plus
● Ability to work above heights of 12 feet and ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
● Ability and willingness to work in Afghanistan; ability and willingness to travel to hostile (hazardous, desert) areas on short notice
● Ability and willingness to travel to locations in excess of 30 days on occasion
