Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking Electronics Technicians for various positions throughout the Manufacturing, Mission Assurance, Product Qualification and Emerging Technologies organizations.

This is a pipeline staffing requisition used to source qualified talent for near future and on-going talent needs in this area of professional expertise.

We seek talent with varying background and skills within the Electronics Technician field. The role and specific responsibilities of the technician will vary slightly across the organizations and are outlined below. Candidates meeting the basic qualifications will be considered across all positions to determine best match based on background and experience.

Candidates must take and pass pre-employment skills screening.

SUBMISSION OF ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS AND/OR MILITARY DOCUMENTATION (DD-214, VMET or JST) CONFIRMING THAT YOU MEET THE BASIC QUALIFICATIONS IS REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION.

All positions are union represented.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift opportunities are available.

The positions are located in Linthicum, MD.

Engineering Technician

Construct, test, interpret data and troubleshoot a variety of electro-mechanical-optical circuits and equipment.

· Layout, construct, wire, bond, test and modify electromechanical-optical circuits and subassemblies working from rough schematic drawings, performance specifications, and/or string lists.

· Perform laboratory tests and measurements using test equipment such as: signal generators, scopes, wave analyzers. phase meters, transistor curve tracers and the like, to obtain necessary test Information.

· Determine component placement and circuit configuration with respect to interconnecting networks.

· Perform system evaluation tests and troubleshoot for defects. Evaluate effect of inter-related circuits stage by stage and modify to obtain proper signals and/or wave forms.

· Make engineering calculations using algebraic equations and trigonometric functions

· Prepare and submit test results and written/oral reports on work assignment as required.

Environmental Lab Technician:

Work from specifications to perform environmental and evaluation tests on a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems utilizing using standard and precision environmental simulation test equipment.

· Set up and operate environmental facilities; determine circuit configuration with respect to interconnecting networks involved in utilization of multi-instrument test equipment and unites or assemblies being tested. Interpret resulting data as to its reliability and validity.

· Perform construction and wiring of test fixtures and test chassis working from drawings, schematics, or oral instructions.

· Calibrate environmental equipment, making necessary calculations involving the use of algebraic equations and trigonometric functions.

· Troubleshoot for defects in assemblies and systems.

· Prepare and maintain necessary reports and records as required.

Semiconductor Equipment Technician

· Repair, modify, install, and maintain complex digital controlled wafer separation equipment, photo processing, diffusion, optical, and wafer handling equipment machinery used in the manufacturing and testing of semi-conductor devices working from such information as schematics, logic diagrams, and instruction manuals of a sophisticated nature.

· Collect and analyze data relating to failures and recommend corrective measures.

· Establish preventative maintenance procedures.

· Monitor tests on complete systems and major assemblies to assure proper operation, reliability and maintainability.

Sensors & Systems Technician

Perform a variety tasks involving testing, operating, trouble-shooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing and assembly over a broad spectrum of technologies, utilizing manual and automatic equipment. Utilize and create repair techniques, assembly techniques, and procedures. Other tasks to be performed include: collecting, recording, analyzing and evaluating data and recommending changes in processing operations and equipment as appropriate.

· Devise, develop, test, analyze and construct highly complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems. Plan, layout, develop, fabricate and construct experimental and prototype devices, models.

· Determine methods and techniques for effectively monitoring various tests on complex systems.

· Perform initial procedural tests on new and/or changed equipment; make modifications/calibrations as required.

· Assist engineers in creating designs, design changes and/or developing circuits, processes and operations to assure they function per design specifications working from general block diagrams, rough outlines of basic circuits, oral instructions.

· Troubleshoot systems, devices, processes and/or test set-ups to locate and repair defective area(s).

· Prepare process and test specifications, revision notices and laboratory reports as required.

· Perform integration of software and hardware through debugging, writing code and modifying systems.
