The Maryland Department of Transportation's Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is recruiting for A Repairman - Radio. The A Repairman will troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, diagnose and overhaul of all communications, electronic, logic equipment, digital equipment, electro-mechanical devices and work of a similar nature as may be required with the aid of minimal supervision. The A Repairman will maintain all records and forms in accordance with the requirements of MTA and all Federal Communications regulations and will operate a motor vehicle or move buses throughout the divisions to perform their duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Education: Possession of high school diploma or equivalency (GED) certificate.
Experience: Must have two (2) years of experience in two-way radio, logic systems, digital circuitry and electro-mechanical devices.

Applicants must submit a CURRENT copy of their complete driving record (NOT more than 30 days old), (NOT the 36 months driving record) available from MVA with their application to be considered for this position.


LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

Must presently have and maintain a current 2nd Class or 1st Class Federal Communications Commission Radio Telephone Operator License.

Employee must be able to obtain a Class B restricted CDL with "P" endorsement before the end of a 90-day probationary period. Maintaining this license becomes a requirement of employment.
