Job Details


Under general supervision, functions as a clinical consultant, educator, and program developer. Facilitates the development and delivery of quality care for wound/ostomy/continence patients. Collaborates with medical and nursing clinicians, operational personnel, and outside agencies to improve clinical services in a cost effective manner.


Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).


Five years experience as a Registered Nurse, minimum one year experience in specialty area.


* Interpersonal skills appropriate to instruct patients and families, to conduct formal educational programs, and to maintain effective relationships with Medical Center personnel and clients.

* Analytical skills appropriate to develop and evaluate educational programs, resolve complex patient care problems, and prepare comprehensive plans of care.

Licensures, Certifications

* Current specialty certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Certification Board.

* Current Maryland Registered Nurse license.

* Current \"Healthcare Provider\" CPR certification.

Physical Requirements

Working Conditions

* Works in classroom, office or patient care areas with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature.
