Job Description ThePharmacy Technician - IV performs compounding and any other tasks that relateto the dispensing of infusion therapy. Adhere to allstate and federal pharmacy regulations including HIPPA Comply with andperform best practices as outlined/described in USP <797> Performsanitation, maintenance and tracking of infusion equipment and the IV room Performpharmaceutics infusion compounding activities Ability to mixand compound IV medications from a Laminar Flow Hood or Sterile Glovebox isessential Knowledge of IVmedications and supplies Complies withdepartmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. This role may use standard office and/or pharmacyequipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, rollingcarts, fax machines and etc. A large portion of work shall be performed in thelong-term care facility where the noise may be loud. Travel The is no travel expected for thisposition Education and Experience High schooldegree or GED is required Previous IVexperience required - 1 year MUST be aregistered Pharmacy Technician in the State of New Jersey One year or moreof Long Term Care or Retail pharmacy experience preferred but not necessary Able to workindependently as well as in a diverse, team environment Ability to meetphysical demands involving extended periods of standing, walking, bending,kneeling and reaching Excellentcommunication skills, professional demeanor Successfulcompletion of all PharmScript Sterile Compounding Training Competencies Preferablysomeone with 1 or more year of LTC or Retail pharmacy experience.
