Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Executive Communications Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Linthicum, MD. The Executive Communications Manager will develop and implement the employee communications strategy, primarily focused on executive communications. The manager will develop and drive execution of an internal messaging platform and communication strategy in alignment with the company’s strategic priorities and objectives. The individual in this role will provide communications on behalf of the executive, including speechwriting, written announcements, videos, presentations, keynotes, social media content, etc. The individual will also be responsible for managing other communications duties as assigned by the Director of Executive, Employee & Change Communications and the Vice President of Communications. Primary Responsibilities: Create communications on behalf of the executive, including dynamic presentations, speaking engagement prep documents, keynote speeches, announcements, videos, etc. Own and manage executive presence on the company’s intranet specifically the executive’s “Ask Questions box" and associated content. This person will research, manage, and support speaking opportunities, including company-sponsored events, executive briefings and town halls. Prepare briefing materials as needed for customer meetings, executive briefings, industry events, and media/analyst meetings. The manager will track and report on metrics. Develop an internal leadership ‘point of view’ for communication to targeted internal and external audiences in alignment with the function’s business strategy and priorities. Develop communications to help drive and support large-scale global change. Establish/drive overall communication strategy, plan, and metrics that support the function’s business strategy and priorities. Align messaging to corporate communication activities and strategic company events. Partner with account managers and corporate communications extended teams (employee communications, public relations, analyst relations, investor relations) and others to ensure message alignment in support of the company’s strategy. Partner with the company’s speakers bureau to assess requests and pro-actively determine opportunities. Understand industry, organization, and functional stakeholder perceptions and communication needs. Participate in developing high quality content, and demonstrate expert understanding of complex technologies, products, and market challenges. Develop and maintain a repository of executive platforms, core presentations, profiles/biographies, and best practices for leverage across the leadership team and communications community.
