Job Description:

The Engineering Manager will oversee the Design-Builder’s own technical, or engineering department preparing shop drawings, lift drawings and construction submittals required to build the work and keep the construction schedule on track.

They will also be involved in constructability reviews and quality control efforts.

The Engineering Manager’s staff of construction engineers will liaise with the Design Engineers and support the field construction efforts. The construction team, including the Construction Manager, will provide constructability review during the design and provide an additional check of the design drawings. This staff will then translate the design drawings into construction drawings for the Construction Manager and his superintendents. The construction engineering staff will also have responsibility to maintain the project schedule, prepare detailed submittals and work plans, acquire permits, and provide survey and other professional services.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Mining, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering.
Experience managing the Construction Engineering department on a minimum of one project includes structural/tunnel engineering for underground facilities in soft ground conditions, including designs of bored tunnels and shafts.
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
