Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Sector is seeking a Budgeting Director 1 to oversee the combined Indirect Rates and Budget process for the sector. The selected candidate will report to the NGMS Sector Director of Rates and Budgets and will be responsible for leading the development of the sectors indirect rate packages, the budget process and the monthly analysis and reporting.
Due to the nature of the work and job responsibilities, the preferred location for this position is Linthicum, MD or McLean, VA. Other locations will also be considered. Candidates should note that “other locations” will require extensive travel.
The Budgeting Director 1 will partner with the NGMS Sector Director of Rates and Budgets to:
Manage the Forward Pricing Rates Proposal (FPRP) process for the entire sector from development of budgets to the actual submission of the rates
Monthly monitoring of the budgets for all pools for both divisions and the functional leadership, with emphasis on providing sector leadership early indications of possible expense issues based on trending data of both historical and current monthly spending patterns
Analyzing the base generation across all pools weekly/monthly and partner with Sector Director of Rates and Budgets to provide current year projections to be used in expense modeling
Reporting the monthly actuals bother internally and externally
Developing strategies and making recommendations to achieve FPRP rates as needed throughout the year
Interfacing with DCMA/DCAA on audits and reporting
The Director of Budgeting will be expected to make decisions that affect the organization’s credibility, operations and services to both internal and external customers.

The candidate should have strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion
