The selected candidate will organize, conduct andsupervise all aspects of coaching and instruction of the intercollegiatewomen's basketball program to include: skill instruction, practices, strength & conditioning, competition preparationand implementation; organize, strategize and supervise allaspects of recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes; provide appropriateleadership, direction and supervision relevant to the academic progress and achievementof student-athletes in the women's basketball program; provide leadership to ensure a quality student-athlete experience thatdevelops the Total Tiger through campus and community involvement; collaborate with Sports Performance staffs toensure health and safety as well develop a sports performance plan forcompetitive success; represent the Departmentof Athletics, University and the women's basketball program at specifiedUniversity, department, media and community functions and events; promote an environment ofdiversity & inclusion within the women's basketball program and departmentof athletics; preparedesignated information relevant to all areas of fiscal responsibility andbudget management for the women's basketball program; oversee and assign responsibilities to theassistant coaches and administrative personnel, and supervise all aspects of theirwork performance and conduct performance evaluations. Bachelor's degree and three years of successful basketball coaching experience at the camp/clinic, high school, collegiate or professional level. The selected candidate must have the proven ability to train and recruit at the Division I collegiate level; ability to accept and carry out assignedprogram and responsibilities; ability tocommunicate effectively and work well with students, parents, faculty, staff,alumni and the community; ability topass the NCAA recruiting test and have a thorough understanding of NCAA rulesand regulations;a demonstratedcommitment to high academic standards for student-athletes and their ability tosucceed both academically and athletically; a demonstrated commitment to building apositive team culture and the ability to work collaboratively withinthe structure and framework of an Athletics Department and University. A master's degree and experience as a Division I student-athlete is strongly preferred.
