Description:

Casting of "The Curmudgeon" project

"The Curmudgeon" is a show about a man and his bookstore.

Role 1. The Curmudgeon
He will be an actor that can play over 60 years old, he is reflective and yet acts in an explosive way. He sees life as hard.

Role 2. Joyce
A woman with both spit and vineger in her style,
she will play under 35 and be able to play a reader or lover of books.
PS: Her secret is that she actually owns the store.

Roles 3-5
There are several other roles including the evil landlord, a vape store owner and various other interesting store patrons.

We own a bookstore, which is our set. What you have here is a group of video tech professionals making a show about books/literature and will use the demise of the business of bookselling as a character in the script.

We're building an episodic 28 min show.
The show if sold to a cable network will generate funds for everyone.
A non-union show, that will require rehearsal particularly for the five leads.
Casting will end by 2/18/18 Shooting on weekday evenings in Glen Burnie, MD in March 2018
