The territory will include the Baltimore area and DC and the candidate can live in either location. .ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for. Identifying and qualifying sales leads and/or target accounts and developing plans and strategies to obtain current business and create ongoing relationships. An important part of this plan is the Identification of key influencers and decision makers, and the preparation of a strategy to develop and nurture relationships with those people. Working with senior management to develop sales goals, objectives, and performance metrics and then using them to track, analyze, and assess actual performance. Developing and implementing a sales strategy that includes cold calling, sales prospecting, and defining the appropriate manner to engage the client (which would include social networking and other contact and relationship tools). The operation of the entire sales process and each of its components (Sales Contact, Networking, Meetings, Proposals, Delivery, Assess Results) to provide for an on going and successful market presence. Developing, growing, and managing an active professional network of decision makers, referrers, connectors, industry leaders, and trainers who are important to the sales process for successfully marketing individual and organizational development products and services. Identifying key professional associations to join, and participating as an active member of those associations to create an industry presence. Doing those administrative activities and functions required to build and maintain a sales system and database including reporting, data generation, and data tracking and analysis. Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients to achieve retention and encourage plus business, and to be considered as the primary source for developmental programs and information. This includes replying to e-mails and correspondence from clients or potential clients, following up with clients and providers/trainers after sessions, and serving as a resource and connector. Setting up and managing meetings (face to face or virtual) to identify needs and ultimately deliver proposals.
