There are four main components to the position: prep/scan/QC/index. All candidates will start at prep as that is the foundation for all our work. Production goals are based on number of boxes completed per shift or a given hourly time. Quality of work is critical to position and continued placement. Once successful in prep and meeting production and quality targets then will be considered for other tasks. 1. Prep Work - this is processing box contents (files, pages, books, etc) in specific order to allow for paper content to go through a scanner. This is primarily a sit down position with repetitive tasks in handling paper files, removing staples/fasteners/etc and following multiple instructions for specific results per box. Correctly completed prep work sets up all other tasks to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible.2. Scanning - This is loading prepped material into various types of scanners for processing while maintaining both box and file order through the workflow in and out of box and scanner. Depending on the source material, sheets may be fed into scanners one at a time or in small batches. Some scanners are stand up only and others allow for seated operations. Must be detail oriented, able to follow repetitive and detailed software instructions and operate/clean/troubleshoot scanners with training. 3. Quality - Confirms accuracy of scanned documents. This is primarily a seated task. Detail oriented and must be able to operate computer. Must be able to apply multiple problem solving skills to identify and correct mistakes when found. Position requires significant data input and high rate of key strokes. 4. Index - Keyboard proficiency needed for best use of typing and 10 key data entry for manual naming of files per client requirements. Attention to detail and ability to apply different formats per client is needed. Detail oriented and must be able to operate computer.
