Classified title: Research Program Assistant Role/Level/Range: ACRO/2/CB Starting Salary Range ($s Min - Mid; commensurate with experience): $24,856 - $34,195 Employee group (Full time/Part-time/Limited/Casual): Full-Time Employee subgroup (FLSA Status): Non-exempt Schedule (hours/days): M-Thurs 8-5:30 Friday 8-12Location: Pro health Provide support to faculty and staff working on evaluation of Johns Hopkins Community Health Program community interventions. Specific duties & responsibilities: Responsible for entering data from paper forms into the web-based database and for responding to quality control queries as needed. Assure accurate data entry and data cleaning. Update and maintain participant data files, hard copy and electronic. Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, word processing and relational databases to track progress. Attend meetings with evaluation team, providing status updates and alerting the team to potential barriers to completion. Operate personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars and other basic office support software. Provide clerical assistance for the project. Provide clerical support as needed Other duties as assigned. Maintain current certification in all applicable JHU required training classes. Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Some college courses preferred. Some related experience required. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Related interviewing experience, especially w/sensitive material may be substituted. Any specific physical requirements for the job: Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm, for example, using a keyboard. Communication skills using the spoken word. Ability to see and hear within normal parameters. Ability to move about workspace. The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
