Part Time Assistant For Performing Artist

Description

SUMMARY
A rising singer and creator in the operatic and performing arts world with a diverse and international career is seeking a part-time personal assistant.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of the position is to provide administrative and logistical support for a diversely interested and engaged performing arts. Given the nature of Mr. Tines’ work, this position will be a unique window into the inner workings of performing arts organizations as Mr. Tines engages these organizations in a variety of roles from performer to creator. This position has the potential to grow into the role of Producer for Mr. Tines’ and similar work.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree required with Bachelor preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Track and maintain schedule which will Include:
Professional calendar (rehearsals, appointments, project timelines, and etc.)
Personal calendar
-Track progress of Mr. Tines’ portfolio of projects and ensure adherence to timelines as discussed, including reminders of any outstanding items that need to be addressed
-Develop processes to streamline the management of client’s activities
-Maintain detailed records of all contacts, correspondence, and schedules
-Attend some meetings with and occasionally for Mr. Tines
-Assist in planning and execute purchase of travel/accommodations
-Assist with correspondence
-Minor social media and website management
-Run personal errands (minimally)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
-Highly organized with the utmost attention to detail
-Proactive and self-starting personality
-Experience and confidence interfacing with high level professionals and leaders in the performing arts
-High interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
-Proficiency with Google Drive/G Suite
-Proficiency with Apple products
-Knowledge of and interest or experience in opera and the performing arts a strong plus

HOURS
5-8/Week, flexible

PAY
$20/Hour

TIMELINE
The position will remain open until filled. However, applications review will begin on Friday, December 8.
