Job Description 4:15p-12:45am Industrial for Prep, Scan, Quality Control and Data Entry/Index – Mostly seated tasks with constant use of upper extremities, primarily for paper handling and keyboard related tasks. Some stand up positions. Normal Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8.5 hours a day including 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. All training will be on day shift for a minimum of 3 shifts or more as needed. Day shift is M-F, 730am to 4pm. Once approved can move to Second Shift (Mon-Thur, 415pm to 245am). Second and 3rd shift may be required depending on assignment or need. Minimum requirements: attention to detail, ability to meet production goals (minimum number of boxes/pages per task at a set rate of time allowed for task) at specific quality levels, daily and on time attendance to huddle meeting that starts each shift. Flexibility is the key to success when changing between clients or tasks as needed. To cross train into scan or QC positions, must have computer and keyboard skills and ability to follow software processes and operate equipment. All tasks require the ability to lift boxes up to 40 lbs from carts or pallets to tables and back as needed throughout the shift. Must be able to read and write English. Job Summary There are four main components to the position: prep/scan/QC/index. All candidates will start at prep as that is the foundation for all our work. Production goals are based on number of boxes completed per shift or a given hourly time. Quality of work is critical to position and continued placement. Once successful in prep and meeting production and quality targets then will be considered for other tasks. 1. Prep Work – this is processing box contents (files, pages, books, etc) in specific order to allow for paper content to go through a scanner. This is primarily a sit down position with repetitive tasks in handling paper files, removing staples/fasteners/etc and following multiple instructions for specific results per box. Correctly completed prep work sets up all other tasks to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible. 2. Scanning – This is loading prepped material into various types of scanners for processing while maintaining both box and file order through the workflow in and out of box and scanner. Depending on the source material, sheets may be fed into scanners one at a time or in small batches. Some scanners are stand up only and others allow for seated operations. Must be detail oriented, able to follow repetitive and detailed software instructions and operate/clean/troubleshoot scanners with training. 3. Quality – Confirms accuracy of scanned documents. This is primarily a seated task. Detail oriented and must be able to operate computer. Must be able to apply multiple problem solving skills to identify and correct mistakes when found. Position requires significant data input and high rate of key strokes. 4. Index – Keyboard proficiency needed for best use of typing and 10 key data entry for manual naming of files per client requirements. Attention to detail and ability to apply different formats per client is needed. Detail oriented and must be able to operate computer. Additional Information: **Attire must be presentable and appropriate for the working environment** Business casual dress, no jeans (except Fridays), no sweats/leggings/pajamas/hats or scrubs. Flat closed toed shoes required, tennis shoes are acceptable. **No cell phones/recording devices/cameras allowed on your person or at your workstations or production floor. No exceptions. Cell phone use is allowed on breaks/lunches off the production floor (breakroom/outside). Mp3 players are allowed. **Lunchroom and lockers available for use during shift. Vending machines, refrigerator, microwaves and coffee maker are available in lunchroom. Limited access in neighborhood for fast food, recommend bringing meals. **Secure building requires daily badging and sign in, allow for time at beginning of shift. If leaving site at lunchtime or end of shift badge will be turned in. **As needed, other duties may be assigned (classification, reassembly or other needed production tasks). **Plan to be working full shifts and all days per week as scheduled. If needed, limited off time can be scheduled in advance for appointments. Contact information will be provided for attendance, weather, emergency or school needs. Position Comments: Important: Please note that regardless of shift, everyone will need to be available for 1 full week of training during normal business hours as an Iron Mountain requirement. The 2nd week, the contingent worker will resume their normal shift and/or full-time/part-time hours. **Full-time is preferred.
