Hydro Air Hughes, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer desiring to leverage Fluid Power knowledge and take their sales career to the next level. This is an established territory with a great deal of untapped potential. Youll partner with an experienced inside sales team that has strong product, vendor, and system knowledge.

More About Your Role
You will be responsible for the promotion of company products and services to a diverse range of manufacturing companies within a geographic region. The primary responsibilities are to promote the sale of company products and services and assist customers with product selection and integration. In addition to providing application assistance, you will also be required to develop detailed quotations and project specifications, which define the scope, performance requirements, sequence of machinery operations and timelines.
You will establish an office in his or her home and will be responsible for providing the necessary office automation equipment including personal computer with Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel and Outlook, an Internet connection with browser software, printer/fax/copier. Personnel located in the company's corporate service center will provide customer service and administrative support.
1) Call on management representatives, engineers or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial and other establishments to sell solutions that incorporate Hydro Air products and systems.
2) Review drawings, plans and other customer documents in order to prepare detailed technical proposals and cost estimates involving products and services offered.
3) Propose changes in equipment, processes or use of materials, which would result in cost reduction or operational improvements for the customer.
4) Provide technical services to customers relating the use, operation and maintenance of products represented.
5) Maintain professional working contact with key suppliers of products sold.
:Degree in Engineering
:One to three years of experience in a sales related environment.
:Technical knowledge of fluid power: primarily Pneumatic, some Hydraulics
:PC proficiency with Word, Excel and other Office applications.
:Strong communication skills including verbal, e:mail composition and telephone skills.
:Must be well organized, detailed oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
:Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
:Certification in Fluid Power discipline from International Fluid Power Society.
:Fluid Power Industry experience
:Self starter and self:motivated
:Relationship:building skills at all levels with customers and prospect organizations
:Planning and organization skills
:Effective listening, negotiating, communication (verbal and written) skills
